According to a recent article in Popular Mechanics, "almost all large US employers are making some changes to their workforce policies to take advantage of new guidelines from the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Administration (DMV). One policy that has caused the greatest stir is the no-fault insurance rule." The new rule in question says that service providers who refuse to provide coverage to customers who are in an accident will not be licensed by the DMV. This rule, according to the article, is already making its way through the court system, and service providers that can no longer serve customers who can't afford their coverage will soon find themselves going out of business. In fact, the DMV states that drivers without coverage will be fined up to $7500 for driving without coverage, and that these fines will increase to $1000 if the drivers are caught within one year.
